Bearded Bingo | Briefs Factory and Cluster Arts

Today I went to a game of bingo that was not only glittery but had circus, drag and a prize table which included authentic pieces used by Captain Cook. The venue was the majestic Old Museum and the event was the Brief’s Factory International’s Bearded Bingo, a sensual variety show for mature ages so it’s advised that you leave your children at home.

Hosted by the very glamorous Shivannah, Thom and Captain Kidd, the mid morning was full of chaotic energy as each contestant fought to be the first one to complete their bingo combination. These very sexcellent bingo combinations included the little willy (one top, one middle, one bottom), the full house (everything), the hourglass (three top, two middle, three bottom) and Tasmania (three top, two middle, one bottom).

The competition was heated, but not as heated as the performers on stage. Belts were thrown off into the crowd, wigs removed, hula hoops were spun around on bottoms and bodies were contorted into shapes that defied what the human body could do.

Although I didn’t win any of the fabulous ceramic prizes, the true prize was being able to see such a fun and raunchy show in such excellent company.

The battle of bingo is targeted at Baby Boomers, but don’t let the stop you from coming to experience the fun. The queens will be back on the 26th of November to celebrate some more numeracy, luck and intimacy, aka bearded bingo. Bring your fighting spirits, glitter and your competitive dabbing skills.
