LIST AN EVENT

The Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane What’s On Calendar is the latest and greatest place to share your event with an audience who are hungry for art.

As a general rule, we try to keep our website as free and easy to access as we can. We are also aware that it is not always cheap and easy to be an artist. So, we have introduced tiered payments for listings.

For First Nations Artists, Trans Artists and Disabled Artists, it is $8 per listing.

For Independent and Emerging artists, and very Brand New, emerging and student Companies, it is $15 a listing. For Venues, Companies and Professional Artists, it is $25.

Around 2,500 people visit our website every month. Last year, 26,000 people visited the Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane website. This is shortly to be the only go-to for arts, news, events and happenings. Make your booking through the links below.

  • We post your listings within 5 business days and you can have your event up for three months. You can submit your listing in advance and we will schedule the listing for three months before your event (if you are that organised!)

  • This is an honesty box system, we trust you to pick the one you think suits you best. Don’t think about too much honey. We trust you to do the right thing.

  • Your fee is one of the only income sources that keep this website and project running. Your fee goes directly towards our writers wages and our admin fees.

  • Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane is focused primarily on performing arts, but as a general rule does not review straight up music events. This is for a few reasons, but mostly because there are already several publications that serve the music lovers and few focused on the stage.
The exception for us is if the event includes performance such as a collaboration between dancers and musicians, or if the event is weird and experimental enough that it crosses into being an immersive, festival, or otherwise unusual experience.
Opera is okay to list. Straight up rock band, no. Rockband with sideshow performers and an immersive art installation on a sunken boat on a riverbank - yes.
