5 reasons to get your mates together and head to Jungle Love this weekend

Well here at Nothing Ever Happens in Brisbane we don’t often cross the river - but when we do, we go all the way into the mountains and dance all weekend. That’s right, that gorgeous collective of arts lovers and boho dreamers is gathering for the next instalment of Jungle Love. They are at an all-new site up in Jimna, out the back of the Sunshine Coast, and the performing arts program is looking quite scrumptious indeed! If you’ve been craving a big ol’ dance and a wander through the forest with like-minded souls, here’s five reasons to pull out your festival finest and head to the river country this weekend.

1. Community!

Jungle Love is a thriving community of like-minded individuals that celebrate one love - looking after each other and everything. Everyone is incredibly friendly and down for a boogie! You honestly won't find a crowd like this elsewhere.

2. The Little Things

What makes Jungle Love so special are the little moments. Strangers meeting and making connections; from a shoulder massage congo line to stumbling upon a fairy light lit piano in the forest with a group of strangers singing familiar songs.

3. Swimming!

Bring a beer and relax in your inflatable unicorn along the river! Check out water aerobics at 10am on Saturday to start your day fresh!

4. The Obvious One - Great Music!

There is a plethora of fantastic music at Jungle Love this year. Even if you don't know many names there will be so many that are assured to surprise you and songs that will never leave your head!

5. Themed Camps, Visual Arts and Workshops

Jungle Love has much more to offer alongside its music. It has a wealth of visual artists painting live; watch their works progress throughout the festival. Join workshops and watch performances from dance workshops to Japanese Kinbaku performances. Jungle Love will also have themed camps this year. Our theme camps curate their own line-ups in their own style. They all bring something completely different from the world of electronic music, and they all bring their own unique atmosphere to the party!

Jungle Love takes place from 2-4 September in Jimna, Queensland.
